notice to visitors
Please note, although the province has opened up the care facilities for visits, it does not mean, in any way, that COVID is gone. In actual fact, COVID numbers are worse than ever and we must be extremely cautious when visiting. Each visitor must provide a negative rapid test result, taken no longer than 6 hours prior to the visit. It is of the utmost importance that visitors are mindful when thinking of visiting their loved ones, being fully vaccinated does not mean we can not contract, carry or spread COVID.
Please DO NOT BOOK A VISIT if
you have a sniffle
you have a tickle in your throat
you are feeling unwell in any way
you have recently travelled or have been in contact with someone that has
you have visited another long term care, hospital or any medical facility in the last 36 hours
you have been in contact with someone that is unwell in the last 36 hours
you have been to a large crowding event in the last 36 hours (sporting event, school event etc)
As always, these measures are in place to protect both the residents and staff of Ashwood.
Due to low supplies, we are unable to provide visitors with rapid test kits at this time, please obtain a test via community points prior to your visit. We hope to resolve this temporary issue.
I am available for calls, at any time, should you have any queries regarding the above.
Thank you for your understanding.
